Abacus : Highland warrior

Abacus (the name is based on the Greek/Roman board game Abakus) is one of the legendary krautrock bands, formed in 1971. During the 1970s Abacus released four albums, the last three of which were recorded in Giorgio Moroder's "Musicland" in Munich. After a brief split-up in 1976 the members reunited in 1979 under the name of the British Abacus forefathers Grail. Their four albums have been re-released and exactly on the 50th anniversary of the band, Abacus release their album 'Highland Warrior'. It is a concept album about Robert I, the first King of Scotland.

Agitation Free : Last fragments, live '74 (+dvd)

Agitation Free was formed in 1967 through the merger of two Berlin rock groups. In retrospect, it became clear that the experimental circle Agitation Free was one of the most important bands of the "Berlin School" and also igniting careers for some German musicians. Christopher Franke helped the band Tangerine Dream to worldwide recognition. Michael Hoenig worked with Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream before he became known as a film composer. Axel Genrich switched to Guru Guru, Burghard Rausch became a founding member of Bel Ami. Gustl Lütjens toured with Shirley Bassey and Nena and later founded the band Living Mirrors. Lutz "Lüül" Ulbrich joined Ashra, and worked with ex-Velvet Underground singer Nico. This live CD comes with bonus DVD.

Box set by Austrian prog rock legend Eela Craig with their four studio albums from 1976 to 1980. Remastered and sonically prepared, with detailed booklet, including the Christmas hit 'A Spaceman Came Travelling' from the 'Hats Of Glass' album.CD 1 contains the 'One Niter' album from 1976, CD 2 contains the 'Hats Of Glass' album from 1978 and the 'Virgin Oiland' album from 1980, and CD 3 contains the 'Missa Universalis' album from 1978.

Epitaph : History box 2 - the polydor years (2cd)

The story of Epitaph begins in the winter of 1969/70 in Dortmund club "Fantasio", where British musician Cliff Jackson (vocals, guitar), James McGillivray (drums) and bassist Bernd Kolbe practiced and worked on their program, whilst performing weekly at Fantasio amongst the likes of Black Sabbath, Rory Gallagher, Yes and Argent. Producer Günter Boas saw the potential of this band and it didn't take long for Epitaph to sign their first contract with Polydor, and recorded their self-titled album which was released in autumn 1971. This was followed by 'Stop Look And Listen' in April 1972.

Kin Ping Meh : No. 2 & 3 (2cd)

The Chinese are known for their flowery and descriptive language. Kin Ping Meh means "plum blossom branch in a golden vase", and the band borrowed its name from a novel of manners from the Ming Dynasty (16th century), which is known for its erotic and pornographic passages. The progressive krautrockers from Mannheim were founded in 1969. The five musicians were discovered by the record company Polydor at a competition organized by 'Bild Am Sonntag' (biggest German weekly newsletter) on Hamburg"s Reeperbahn, and after two single releases, their first album followed in 1971. The sales figures spoke for themselves, the band toured diligently, but Kin Ping Meh's line-up soon changed, with singer Geff Harisson (formerly Twenty Sixty Six And Then) joining the band from album '3' onwards. From then on, his raspy voice, reminiscent of Rod Stewart, had a decisive influence on the band's musical image. Between 1971 and 1977, Kin Ping Meh released six long-playing records. Two of these, 'No. 2' from 1972 and '3' from 1973 are now re-released in a revised and remastered version.

Man : Faith: live at theaterhaus stuttgart (2cd+dvd)

Man filmed live the Theaterhaus, Stuttgart on March 10th 2016. Man went down in history as one of the best-kept secrets of the British progrock scene. When this concert was recorded in Germany, it was intended to be the release show of the then released album 'Reanimated Memories'. This live album comes with DVD.

'Reanimated Memories' is the 16th album by Welsh rock legends Man. Man veteran Martin Ace (vocals, bass), his son Josh Ace (vocals, guitar), James Beck (vocals, guitar), Phil Ryan (vocals, piano) and Rene Robrahn (drums) recorded the album at Cowshed Studios in London. Featuring pedal steel guitarist B. J. Cole, who provides the band-typical country and West Coast rock sound. 'Reanimated memories' is Man's first studio album after five years of absence, a perfect addition to the band's previous catalog.

Neuronium : Signature

The Belgian Michel Huygen began his long musical career in 1976 with Neuronium, initially starting as a trio. But by 1982, after working with Vangelis on the joint album 'In London', Michel Huygen became synonymous with Neuronium. In 40 years, Huygen released Neuronium albums almost every year until this day. 'Signature' is not just a "best of"; the pieces selected for this compilation are a collection of expressions of different moods. From ultra-electronic, cosmic, spacey, dreamy to even neo-classical music composed in collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra.

.../THE HALL OF FLOATERS IN THE SKY' - Over 50 million records sold, tours and festival appearances throughout Europe and Japan, and there are at least 50 cover versions or adaptations of their world hit 'Gyöngyhajú Lány' - Omega are Hungary's number one rock export. To celebrate their 60th anniversary, the original Omega albums from the Bacillus era are being released again: '200 Years After The Last War' was released in 1974 combines various influences from which the Hungarians formed their own style at the time: blues, early Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. 'The Hall Of Floaters In The Sky' from 1975 had a tonal hybrid of Focus, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Sparks and Cockney Rebel.

Satin Whale : History box 1 - the studio albums 1974-1981 (5cd)

Influenced by Jethro Tull, Deep Purple and later Supertramp, Cologne progressive rock band Satin Whale was still classified as a Krautrock band, but the four Cologne musicians developed their own sound what can be heard on their debut album 'Desert Places', released in 1974 on the Brain label. Over the years, Satin Whale released five studio albums, the soundtrack 'Die Faust In Der Taschen' in 1979, a live double album and a remix album. This first box set 'The Studio Albums' contains the five studio albums from 1974 to 1981, and also contains a booklet with background information from Thomas Zimmermann and photos from the band's history.

Re-release of the classic Klaus Schulze album 'Moondawn', originally from 1976. Klaus Schulze first came to attention as a member of German electronic music pioneers Tangerine Dream. After the release of the debut LP 'Electronic Meditation' he started a solo career. Typical for Klaus' recordings are extended pieces, which sometimes fill an entire album and are based on computer-generated synthesizers and other specially programmed electronic effects. On 'Moondawn', Klaus worked with a Big Moog synthesizer for the first time, and he has been accompanied by Harald Grosskopf on drums.

Re-release of the 1981 Klaus Schulze album 'Trancefer', including detailed liner notes and bonus tracks. Schulze comes together with percussionist Mike Shrieve (Santana), and cellist Wolfgang Tiepold, whose warm strokes create a pleasant contrast to Schulze's often hard and synthesizer partitions in strict rhythm schemes.

Re-issue of the successful and partly out of print "La Vie Electronique" series by Klaus Schulze in a new jewel box. CD 1 contains the second part of the 1976 Oberhausen concert, as well as "Swan Lake", two solo pieces recorded in 1976. It also features "Zeitgeist" a 1977 concert recording, 'La Vie Secrète' and 'Barracuda Drum', as well as a recording with Love's Arthur Brown from 1979.

Schulze, Klaus : Body love - bonus edition

Re-release of the Klaus Schulze classic 'Body Love', originally released in 1977 and re-released in 2005. It was a collaboration with film producer Manfred Menz, for who Klaus composed the 'Barracuda' soundtrack. The music has similarities to 'Moondawn', and there has no bonus footage been added, as the soundtrack already reaches the maximum CD length of 75 minutes.

This 3CD set contains rare and previously unreleased recordings from 1985 to 1993. It contains the only maxi single he ever recorded, tracks from soundtracks, live recordings from Spain and German and a radio broadcast track.

SFF : The complete recordings (3cd)

SFF (Eduard Schicke, Gerd Führs and Heinz Fröhling) had an orchestral sound that was overwhelming and mesmerizing. With Dieter Dierks (Scorpions, Wallenstein, Nektar) the band found the right producer for their first album 'Symphonic Pictures', which was released in 1976. The trio's popularity grew primarily through their live concerts. In 1977 and 1978, SFF recorded two more records with Dieter Dierks: 'Sunburst' and 'Ticket To Everywhere'. After the recording of the last album, the trio broke up.

Almost two years before their reunion, the four musicians from Van Der Graaf Generator had already been thinking about doing something together again. When Peter Hammill suffered a heart attack at the end of 2003, he wasn't the only one who had an urgent desire to actually tackle the project he was considering. The gig at the jazz festival in Leverkusen - the only one in Germany and reissued on this 2CD and DVD set was supposed to be the highlights of the reunion tour in 2005.

Zzebra : Hungry horse (live in germany 1975)

Zzebra was an extraordinary, but unfortunately short-lived, British jazz-rock band of the 1970s, a kind of "supergroup" that mixed jazz, progressive rock and African rhythms. Zzebra was founded by the two ex-If members Terry Smith (guitar) and Dave Quincy (saxophone) as well as Loughty Amao (saxophone, flute) from the Afro rock band Osibisa. In 1974 and 1975 the band released two albums at Polydor, briefly became the house band at London's legendary Ronnie Scott's Club and toured with Yes, Soft Machine and Chick Corea's Return To Forever. On October 20, 1975, Zzebra performed at the Postaula in Bremen. The concert was recorded and is now being published for the first time. In addition to Dave Quincy and Laughty Amao, bass guitarist John McCoy (Gillan, Mammoth), keyboardist Tommy Eyre (Alex Harvey, Illusion, MSG), singer Alan Marshall, guitarist Steve Byrd (Gillan) and Irish drummer Liam Genockey were also present (Amalgan, Steeleye Span, Gillan) on stage.
