'Album 2' is the second album by the Turkish synthwave/postpunk duo Zack Zack Zack (Yigit Bakkalbasi & Cemgil Demirtas) based in Vienna, Austria. Their name is an artistic manifesto;a phrase refering to the Austrian political disaster (Ibiza Affair) from May 2019, which revealed the corrupted system of rightwing politics and lead to the government's fall. Their debut EP '1' from 2021 immediately caught international attention/radio play and Zack Zack Zack got invited to gothic/postpunk festivals in Germany and Sweden.

'Waves Of Seeing' is the first release from ZAM, the high octane guitar-bass-drums trio of Anthony Pirog (The Messthetics), Andrew Colwell, and Dan Sharnoff. The trio has been playing music together since they first met in public school in Vienna, Virgina 25 years ago. Rooted in structured improvisation and stretching the boundaries of genre ZAM plays 'hard ambient music' navigating through noise, rock, ambient, new age, glitch, drone, hardcore, sludge, psychedelic, electronica and free music. 'Waves Of Seeing' sees the trio connect with several genres with a cinematic sensibility; swirling with electromagnetic aberrations, sometimes in gruelling opposition and sometimes in delicate, meditative sympathy.

Zangeneh, Pari : (black) the series of music for young adults

'IRANIAN FOLK SONGS' - Travel back in time to the modern pre-revolution Teheran and dig this wonderful, ear-catching album from 1976 by Iranian female singer Pari Zangeneh. Traditional Persian folk songs with a lovely, sweet psychedelic flavor with the use of beautiful strings, flutes, charming and tasty drumming, some organ and orchestration, percussions... imagine a Persian version of Mellow Candle or Vashti Bunyan and you're there! Born in 1939 in Kermanshah (Iran), Pari Zangeneh is a soprano singer that lost her sight after a car accident in 1972. Her work over the years on restoring traditional Persian music and regional folk songs is invaluable. In 1976 she recorded this very unique album commissioned by Kanoon (Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults), a social organization that produced many kinds of materials (books, films, records) for children in Iran. The arrangements were done by Varoujan (famous for his work with Googoosh, Dariush, etc...). Sourced from the original masters. Comes in hard cardboard sleeve with obi and includes download card.

Frank Zappa and the 'We're Only In It For The Money' line-up of The Mothers Of Invention started their second European tour in the autumn of 1968 with a number of dates in Germany. Whilst in the country, they recorded a 35-minute session for the TV show 'Beat Club' on October 6th consisting of a partly improvised, all instrumental piece drawing mainly on themes that would appear on their 1969 album 'Uncle Meat.' It also includes snatches of The Five Tinos' 'Don't Do That' and Wagner's 'Lohengrin,' presumably played specially for their German audience. The Essen Music Festival had footed the bill for the group's ten thousand dollar air fare and this LP features a fifteen-minute version of 'King Kong' from that show. This is vintage Frank Zappa at his most creative and the sound quality is excellent.

Away from radio, TV and with live performances increasingly scarce at the end of the seventies, Tom Zé was a risky investment for record labels, agents, and gig promoters. Always eager to please his sense for innovation and his creativity Tom Zé wanted to release an album again after the cult 'Estudando O Samba' (1976). So came this, a record where the tension was at the script, in the distressing real life chronicles that the artist interpreted and reported also in an autobiographic manner. At 'Correio Da Estaçao Do Brás' (1978) Tom Zé had done what seemed impossible: contemporary working-class music not for the elite but for the people itself. Reissued for the first time outside of Brazil. Tom Zé is considered the most "paulista" of all Tropicalistas. He came from Bahia, but his wry urban poetry, infused with the uncomfortable sounds of the largest metropolis of South America, is pure Sao Paulo. The variety of musical genres in the LP - samba, sertanejo, bolero, xote, repente and forró - reflects the cultural diversity of the Brás neighbourhood, a meeting point of Italians, Nordestinos, Africans and Latinos. This reissue includes unseen photos, new testimonials from Tom Zé himself and a lengthy article signed by Bento Araujo, author of the book series 'Lindo Sonho Delirante.'

A hypnotic groove under a playful song next to an Arabic melody on top of an improvised sound collage; the music made up of independent parts, all recorded in one take. The songs on this album are percussive and move on the poly rhythms of two parallel switched turbines. During the first half of the album we drive out the Dutch capital into the night. Then we wake up at sea, passing harbors and deserted island to end up in new Amsterdam. On the cover of the album you see a drawing of by Amsterdam cartoonist René Windig. At the back of the album you see Zea and Oscar Jan Hoogland live in the north of Ghana; it's the image of a duo that dug itself up from the future and dives headfirst into the world.

Zerfas : Zerfas

This is probably one of the US private press scene's greatest treasures. The sole album published by this American five-piece was released in 1973 in a ridiculously small run and soon was elected as a contemporary cult. The band from Indianapolis consisted of brothers David Zerfas and Herman Zerfas, and was originally formed in 1969. While they released just a single self-titled album, they continued to play gigs until 1983. All the material is self-penned which comes as a surprise as the tracks are uniformly strong, with lots of keyboards, sound effects, and some outstanding harmonies. An excellent mix of proto-garage, psych and even prog with a strong effort on studio wizardly. A rare gem all in all!
