RSD 2021 RELEASE! An experimental avant-dub/post-punk album of sorts, this notable 1982 album by Playgroup gets reissued on 180-GRAM CLEAR VINYL. Playgroup was more than anything a collective, based somewhere around Bristol and London. Drummer Bruce Smith was the key figure behind the project. Neneh Cherry's husband and fabulous motorik force for The Pop Group, The Slits, New Age Steppers, African Head Charge and - more recently - Public Image Limited, Bruce brought the post-punk aura into the realm of controlled chaos with several partners in crime. Playgroup is the so-called English version of Jamaican dub, informed by the industrial revolution and the studio wizardy of On U Sound acolytes.

Sakamoto, Ryuichi : Hidari ude no yume

Ryuichi Sakamoto's third solo album 'Hidari Ude No Yume' (Left Handed Dream) was originally released in 1981 on the Alfa label. Save for a small-scale Dutch vinyl release in 1981, it is the first time the album's original Japanese edition is released outside of Japan (the European release on Epic Records included significantly different tracks and mixes). Newly remastered from the original tapes by renowned engineer Bernie Grundman, this LP edition comes with original artwork featuring a striking cover shot by famous photographer Masayoshi Sukita (sourced from the original negative), obi strip and 4-page insert with new introduction by journalist Anton Spice.

This is their collaboration with artwork by Bilal. Contains 16 tracks of which 6 are remakes from the '70s.

Now also as picture disc version. The present album is a reissue of Golem, the legendary album from the cosmic and psychedelic genius that is Sand. Factory-noise, riveting hammers from the dockyards, agricultural machines, Starfighters low level flights, land manoeuvres by the British Forces in the mountainous countryside along the winding river were the culture medium for extended sound aesthetics. Sand was born and created the GOLEM. At first Sand dressed the Golem with Helicopter and dir ected him to walk ahead. Rotorelief releases, from 2010, a series of new albums from Sand as well as a reissue of their obscure and rare album Golem. This series of albums is called INXODEM, the series title having one letter for each album. 5 albums of Sand are to be released: His First Steps - Golem - Desert Navigation - Sylph Ballet - North Atlantic Raven. Chromanatron by Nurse with Wound and When the May Rain Comes, cover versions of Sand by Current 93, complete the series.
