True to 2 By Bukowski's pathological inability to be pinned down to a genre, 'Her Kind Fight Everything' spans decades and genres - from '70s kraut rock, to '80s ambient, to '90s doom and '00s drone rock. For those about to venture in dark, grandiose introspection, we salute you. 2 By Bukowski was formed in 1997 in Thessaloniki, Greece. They have released material under many labels such as Liquefaction Empire (UK), Jonathon Whiskey (UK), Poeta Negra (GR), Inner Ear (GR) and others.

Apollo80 : Beautiful beautiful desolation

Apollo80 are doing it again! After the striking debut in 2019 the Western Australian trio is back with another chapter of heavy-riffing exploration in the low frequencies universe. The main ingredients for the space cake are unchanged, but this work explores a darker space with an extended use of drone atmospheres, groovy tempos and sporadic synth and vocal inserts. 'Beautiful, Beautiful Desolation' is the title of their first full-length and is promising to please the fans of Melvins, Earth, Toner Low and whoever aims to soak their brain in a bath of distorted frequencies. While the intro seems to continue the space-rock voyage of their previous EP, the opening riff clears immediately the path for a heavier trip that reaches the deepest point with the feedbacks and drones of the Earth-ian 'Like Men Gone At Sea'. Side B is a surprise again and introduces synth layers and distorted vocals that are totally new for the Perth trio, but then they close with what they do best. '90s-inspired slow riffs and a long psychedelic interlude of the banger 'Lungbeers' carry the listener to the end of this 40+ mins work that is brought on the streets by the joined efforts of Sound Effect Records and Kozmik Artifactz. The CD includes the 'Lizard Lizard Lizard' EP as bonus.

B.U.S : We are the night

Recorded live in the studio in just 3 days, 'We Are The Night' is a solid rock/metal album, an "all killer, no filler" proposition and a must for all metal devotees across the globe.

Bhopal's Flowers : Joy of the 4th

Hindu deities dancing in the sky of the American desert, psychedelic cosmic pop hanging by a thread to the star of the shepherd, the music of Bhopal's Flowers seems to point to an unknown but familiar direction: A world where John Wayne and the Virgin Mary drive a convertible Lincoln, John Fitzgerald Kennedy on the backseat, greeting the crowd of angels. This album continues the quest started started in 2016 with 'Lovesongs & Psychedelic Tones' on which the trio sitar - tanpura - 12 strings guitar is digging bridges between modal and tonal musical systems, on an anthroposophic message. Fullfilled with mellotron, harpsichord, leslie effect, this easy listening record is filled with joy and bright melodies on a sunshine pop feel, with the usual Hindustani taste from Bhopal's Flowers. With this ode the 4th degree of the musical scale, 'Joy Of The 4th' expresses the will to spread simple but eternal life rules: each and every evolution is based on 7 steps, according to the following pattern: 3 - 1 - 3. As the most evolved form is not the most complex but the one that have solved the complexity with a pretty simple way of expression, 'Joy Of The 4th' claims simple pop songs with a deep and vintage production. Dedicated to Noel Pezzano (Bhopal's Flowers' leader's son) born in 2021, the 10 tracks are fed by childhood hapiness, shimmering colorful instrumentation, like the sound of a baby toy. A magical tool for young and grown up people, to live and remember the joys and hardships of life on Earth.

Cosmic Dead : Easterfaust

'Easterfaust' by The Cosmic Dead: a magic carpet ride that began in the hazy days of August 2013 when the Cosmics spent five days in a remote isolated garage in the Scottish Highlands with only Focaccia king Luigi Pasquini for company. 'Easterfaust' was the first momentous improvisation from this session to be released and captures the band in a moment of sheer, vibrant exuberance feeling their way through 42 minutes of visceral augmented repetition which metamorphs from the distant echo of space rock to an all-encompassing climactic synchronicity of sound. Originally released in 2014 via Sound of Cobra, this long sold-out and sought after album is now repressed by Sound Effect Records, oh how we ride.

Dead Ends : Distant shores

On this second album The Dead Ends explore the late '60s/early '70s, blending psychedelic and early progressive rock sounds with a strong contemporary feel. Guitar riffs and hammond melodies dance on groovie/punchy percussion and basslines, whereas, they often make way to the polyphonic vocals of the band and the bucolic woodwinds of Dimitris. 'Distant Shores' talks about modern society problems and how to overcome these, putting all egos aside. Reminiscing the past and paving the future, The Dead Ends praise universal love in a record to be remembered for years.

You may catch him playing frenzy farfisa with the current line-up of the Frantic V, even spiting out punkadelic vocals of his fave 60s covers.Here you can listen to his "Message from now" a fresh vintage!? sound coming out of a lysergic farfisa, a reptile fuzzed out guitar & tons of trippy effects by theremin and other vintage instruments through an 80s eight track real to real tape console mixed with the help of an authentic 60s analogue reverb -like the one Jeff Beck used in his Yardbird days-.A well hidden by multiple layers of fuzz & echo, pop originated psychedelic garage that becomes more acid track by track to conclude in a three parted explosion of a 7:45" composition that merges the oriental rhythms of East with the psyched out, distorted Western fantasy of a restless mind. One of the most original analogue acid drenched, 60s influenced concept albums of Greece.

Glen : I can see no evil

Third album by Glen, the Berlin/Athens based instrumental unit, lead by multi instrumentalist, film score composer and guitarist Wilhelm Stegmeier and visual artist and guitarist Eleni Ampelakiotou. Following up their promising previous second album 'Pull!' (2021), pursuing an abrasive reductionism, merging contrasting textures to a unique narration of swelling chords, melodic patterns and abstract noise, Glen sets with focused energetic turmoil their mark on the map of instrumental elegies. With new collaborators on drums, Lucia Martinez and Achim Faerber, supported on bass by Roland Feinaeugle, Glen have crafted an album that breaths an air of mystery, tension and suspenseful furor.

Hollow Earth : Out of atlantis

On Hollow Earth's 'Out Of Atlantis' influences from 1969-1972-era Deep Purple are combined with some distinctly Canterbury styled moves. Obviously this sort of alchemy works, so in fifty years time this may very well be looked back upon as a full-blown progressive rock masterpiece with solid psychedelic underpinnings. Several years in the making, it is easily the most ambitious release from Kommun2 and Sound Effect to date.

Jalayan : Floating islands

Jalayan's second album resume and develop the work yet done in the previous 'Sonic Drive.' The band propose a solid progressive space rock soaked in electronic and folkloric elements. The eight instrumentals have been composed and arranged between 2019 and 2021 by Alessio Malatesta, band leader and founding member. The line-up is composed, in addition to Malatesta on keyboards and synthesizers, by Vincenzo Calvano on electric and acoustic guitars, Matteo Prina on electric bass and Martino Malacrida on drums.

Lotus Emperor : Syneidesis

A CD-reissue of the whimsical and colourful second full-length (2015) from Me And My Kites, a Swedish psych-/prog-folk unit that was named after a song by the English early '70s band Fuchsia. The group is led by David Svedmyr and also features AnnaMy, Lisa Isaksson (Lisa O Piu) and Mattias Gustavsson (Dungen and Life on Earth!).

The material on this debut-album (originally from 2013) is mostly dreamy and acoustic based, with flutes and piano contributing lovely melodies, and mellotrons adding a darker atmosphere to the many breezy elements.

Melody Fields spring out of Gothenburg and are thus the latest wonder from Sweden's west coast music revolution. Among the guest musicians are Holy Wave's Dustin Zozaya on mellotron and Nils Börén on saxophone.
