Anthoney Hart returns with his second Basic Rhythm album for Planet Mu. 'Electronic Labyrinth' is a maturing of his sound that draws a line under his work as Basic Rhythm thus far.

Anthoney Hart, who previously appeared as East Man, returns under his Basic Rhythm alias with the DOUBLE-LP 'On The Threshold'. Recorded primarily with the DJ in mind, these tracks are colourful, brutalist and adventurous!

DJ Nate : Take off mode

Hailing from the west-side of Chicago, DJ Nate has deliverd another strange, maximalist, trippy and sample-heavy footwork album.

East Man : Prole art threat

Taking its title from a song by The Fall, 'Prole Art Threat' is the sound of a proletarian urban multiculture, made from Caribbean and African influences, sound system culture, pirate radio and the inexorable rhythms of grime, drum & bass, techno and dancehall. It's a product of the stirring of the "white" & "black" working classes who are living together and coming together on their own terms in sound.

Farwarmth : Momentary glow

Farwarmth is the moniker of Portuguese composer Afonso Ferreira. The sources for his album 'Momentary Glow' were recordings of friends and family in improvised sessions with cello, flute and accordion, and Afonso on keyboards. Afonso's music is made by carefully processing and rendering his source material, with stunning results.

Herva : Seez

On 'Seez', Herva moves away completely from the sample-based music he's most known for and into programming and computational production, which he mixes and compresses with his newly-built hardware tools to give them the life and feeling he requires.

Ital Tek : Timeproof

Ital Tek's seventh album 'Timeproof' feels more introspectivethan its predecessor 'Outland'. The sounds and textures of therecord hint at brutality and menace whilst also pulsing andevolving softly with a more refined interior life. It'sexpansive and elegant, neatly balanced between light and dark,and more mossy and dreamy than the extremes of 'Outland'.

Kuedo : Severant (10th anniversary edition)(2lp)

Electronic artist Kuedo's classic 2011 album 'Severant' gets reissued on DOUBLE-LP for the first time, including the bonus track 'Work, Live & Sleep In Collapsing Space' and renewed artwork.

Lazar, Gabor : Boundary object

Gabor Lazar's 2022 release 'Boundary Object' comprises eight real-time recorded, unedited tracks, made in Budapest and Prague between 2020 and 2022, using a self-designed compositional interface.

Lee, Felix : Inna daze

The awaited 2019 full-length by the English underground producer, who makes his notable debut as a vocalist. The punky crunch of Felix Lee's earlier releases is reflected in a track like 'Smoke', which was made with long time collaborator Kamixlo. Intended to exist both inside and outside the club, 'Inna Daze' offers electronic music that at times feels like a skeletal take on shoegaze. The recordings also feature Drain Gang members Ecco2k and Whitearmor, Yayoyanoh, Quantum Natives' Oxhy, and Gaika.

Meemo Comma : Loverboy

Meemo Comma's third full-length 'Loverboy' is set in the '90s, with trance, breakbeat hardcore and jungle as some of the influences.

Mu-Ziq : Magic pony ride

Mike Paradinas returns with an album of joyful, melodic, jungle-inspired music. 'Magic Pony Ride' is his first full-length of new material on his own Planet Mu since 2013.

Mu-Ziq : Hello

'Hello' is the mirror image of Planet Mu owner Mike Paradinas' 'Goodbye' EP. The intensity is heightened, the breaks more manic and melodies inhabit every corner. The material is the final chapter of the 'Magic Pony Ride' material and even includes another version of that track.

Mu-Ziq : Challenge me foolish (2lp)

'Challenge Me Foolish' is imbued with a confident sense of pastoral colour and a gentle optimism, utilising bells, studied orchestral arrangements and airy synthesizers. There's a strange sense of the old and new throughout, the sentimental and utopia, with nary a hint of darkness. Even when the album dips into the hyperkinetic rhythms of jungle, the melodies and mood still retain a sense of gentle warmth. DOUBLE-LP EDITION!

Mu-ziq & Mrs Jynx : Secret garden

'Secret Garden' is a collaborational album between Mike Paradinas (Mu-Ziq and Planet Mu owner) and Hannah Davidson (Mrs Jynx). The album contains 10 tracks.

Raczynski, Bogdan : Addle (2lp)

Released on DOUBLE-LP is Bogdan Raczynski's first album of new music in 15 years. Marking a change from the high-octane jungle tekno braindance for which he is most commonly known, here we find the Polish-American musician in a more melodic and zen-like place of peace, which is ergonomic and decluttered, whilst also bittersweet and tinged with melancholy.

'8AM' contains music that replicates that headspace when you've seen the sun come up, but sleep is still way off. It's music of the in-between time, between tonight and tomorrow.

Treanor, Rian : Ataxia

The title 'Ataxia' means the loss of full control of bodily movements. This relates to Rian's music which is "intended to make peoples bodies move in unpredictable ways". Since he's based in Sheffield, you can hear elements of industrial, synth-pop, bleep, extreme computer music and speed garage at play. From Cabaret Voltaire to Warp and beyond, the sound of his city has been, and remains, an integral part of his musical development and a direct influence.

Treanor, Rian : Obstacle scattering

Rian Treanor's 'Obstacle Scattering' EP arrives in a flurry of disorienting rhythmic bursts and de-purposed rave hallmarks. The four-track EP follows the Yorkshire producer's acclaimed 'File Under UK Metaplasm', an album that welded elements from the UK's sprawling dance music history with genre-breaking sounds from further afield. With this EP Rian goes straight for the jugular with four tracks assembled specifically for the dancefloor.
