Bards : Moses lake recordings

The great Pacific Northwest band that released over a dozen 45s on both the Piccadilly, Parrot and Capital labels. They opened for such national acts as THE TURTLES and PAUL REVERE & THE RAIDERS. This is their previously unreleased LP from 1968, produced by CURT BOETCHER and KEITH OLSEN, who temaed up on THE ASSOCIATION's recording and many others out of LA in the 60's. From the master tapes, this masterpiece is strikingly similar of AL KOOPER's style of music on the first BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS LP. Reissue on CD of this ULTRA ULTRA RARE private pressing from 1967. If you took CRAZY PEOPLE, ACID SYMPHONY, MOTHERS OF INVENTION & DREAMIES and rolled them all into one, this would be pretty close. Wild drums, plunky acoustic guitars, ranting and ravoing vocals, weird noises and God knows what else those other sounds are! It's every bit a time capsule as A CID SYMPHONY was. Bleu Forest : A thousand trees deep

A previously unreleased American psych/acid-rock album from 1968. Tower Records showed interest in the band, but unfortunately, when things were about to happen, two of the members got drafted and the band broke up. The music is seriously organ driven and at times Seeds influenced. Now at last available on CD!

Blue Grass Champions A.o. / Das Louis Shampton Trio : Blues-rock festival/beat club international

BLUE GRASS CHAMPIONS, ROCK REVIVAL LTD. & THE MOODY FIVE - 'BLUES-ROCK FESTIVAL' and DAS LOUIS SHAMPTON TRIO - 'BEAT CLUB INTERNATIONAL' both on 1 CD. These two -complementary- exploitation albums, originally issued in Germany in 1970, compile tracks from late '60s budget LP's which were credited to (fictional) acts s.a. A reissue on CD of one of Germany's RAREST 'exploitation' albums. This work, dating from 1968, features fantastic FUZZED-OUT guitars, vibrato-guitar, wailing organs and strong vocals (in English) very much inspired by HENRIX, VANILLA FUDGE, IRON BUTTERFLY and other great '60s bands. A real trip into psychedelia by the band that, from the early '70s on, would become known as Lucifer's Friend. Clockwatchers : A mind blowing trip of psychedelic sound

In 1998, Gearfab released a limited 500 vinyl pressing of this great early '90s Pacific Northwest Psychedelic band. They came to the attention of the label through a tape sent to them and, immediately upon listening to it, Gearfab was in awe of how much their music sounded like it came straight from the 1960s: twangy guitars with lots of reverb and wah-wah, haunting farfisa organ, pulsating bass riffs, great harmonics, and fantastic drums!! In addition to the original 12 tracks, the band guys have dug up 10 more tracks.

Cosmic Travelers : Live! at the spring crater celebration

Between 1965-67, Drake Levin made his name as the lead guitarist for Paul Revere & The Raiders during their heyday. Joel Christie played bass as a session player for Lee Michaels. Dale Loyola was the drummer for Hook and many other LA-based bands. In 1972, they formed The Cosmic Travelers and relocated to Oahu, Hawaii. This Ultra-Rare live 1972 recording of them in the extinct crater of Diamond Head in front of 7,000 fans is full of long, crazed fuzzed out guitars, thundering bass, and pounding drum jams. The liner notes are written by Drake's widow Sandra who was there with them and tells the whole story of this psychedelic adventure in the tropics!! Crystal Syphon : Family evil/elephant ball (2cd)

Plying their trade in the fertile San Francisco scene of the late '60s, Crystal Syphon's name was only known to aficionados through viewing copies of old SF gig posters and through the index of bands at the back of Ralph Gleason's book on the rise of Jefferson Airplane. Then both their studio and live 1967-1969 archival recordings were discovered that replaced the imagination with true grooves in 2012 and 2015 with the release of 2 LPs on Roaratorio Records. Trying to find comparison with other Bay area bands from that era has proven a bit fruitless as they don't specifically evoke any of the heavy hitters of the era. They have a bit of a dreamy, stoned vibe with some great harmonies and some have compared their style to Quicksilver Messenger Service (John Cipollina was their idol!!) as well as H.P. Lovecraft. As with so many bands of the era, the draft, time and declining fortunes signaled the end of the band. There is some great guitar work alongside the Farfisa organ in the extended jams, and fans of the west-coast sound should delight in these recordings.

David (canada) : David

Reissue on CD of one and only album by Canadian band DAVID. A classic psychedelic pop album originally releasaed in 1969, featuring dreamy and spacey vocals of Deborah Kelly and some fine electric FUZZ GUITARS, great orchestrastions and outstanding keyboards.

Deerfield : Nil desperandum

Reissue on Cd of the privatly pressed one and only album by Texas band DEERFIELD. Originally from 1971 with great harmonies and instrumantation much in the vein of BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD. Some excellent coutry/folk/psych songs altered with psychedelic guitar intervals.

Dirty Martha : This is it

From New Jersey, Dirty Martha consisted of ex-members from garage-pop=sike unit Nickels And Dimes, and they were the "sister band" Of Chaplin Harness. Their great and at the time unreleased psych gem was recorded in 1969 in the same studios as Chaplin Harness I & II.

The ULTRA-RARE 1970 Lp which featured their female lead vocalist SHARON KEEL, who gave this excellent PSYCHEDELIC band their haunting sound. A sound remniscent of JEFFERSON AIRPLANE. Originally pressed in edition of less then 100 copies, so originals fetch over $1000, bucks. Taken from the master-tapes.

Elderberry Jak : Long overdue

And long overdue this release is! This great West Virginia band released this rural rock LP in 1970. Featuring great fuzz guitar, heavy organ and tasteful use of acoustic guitars and piano. Their sound is reminiscent of NEIL YOUNG and DOUGLAS FIR.

Ellison : Ellison

Gearfab's first venture into the as yet untapped talents of the Candadian psych and rock scene. First is the hard-driving rock trio from Toronto, ELLISON, with their 1970 classic self-titled FUZZ-FUELED album, much in the vein of LED ZEPPELIN and BLACK SABBATH.

Eternity's Children : The lost sessions

Finally, an album of unreleased and alternate versions of material from 1966-1970 by this great Mississippi band. They had two great albums on the Tower label and were actually CHARLIE RICH's backing band during their stint in New Orleans. Their Tower albums were produced by CURT BOETTCHER and KEITH OLSEN. This newly discovered material shows the bright, airy and flower pop style influences continued to influence the band. Featuring the beautiful vocals of LINDA LAWLEY. 15 Tracks.

Evol : Evol

On CD and presented in a digipack, this is the first ever official release of a great, previously unissued acetate album by a band from West Virginia. Recorded in 1970, this collection of original tunes reveals influences from a.o. '65-'66 Byrds, Blue Things, Beau Brummels, Buffalo Springfield and early Grass Roots. Expect appealing vocals, memorable melodies, 12-string and fuzz guitars, and haunting harpsichord contributions. One of the last undiscovered gems from the late psychedelic era!

Phoenix, Arizona's best kept secret from the 60's. They offically released only one 45 single on the STORM label in '66, but they recorded another 12 tracks during 1967-1971, showing how the band eveolved from early British influenced band through the PSYCHEDELIA of 67-68 onto the political influence of '69-'71. 14 tracks taken from the original mastertapes.

High Treason (US) : High treason

This self titled LP from 1970 was recorded in Philadelphia and actually featured some back up musicians that played with PERRY LEOPOLD!. Featuring the beautifull and haunting female vocals of Marcie Rauer and usically very spacey, bluesy and psychedelic very similar to that of Jefferson Airplane, It's A Beautifull Day and other Bay-area bands.

Homer : Complete recordings

An historic release in digi-pak format : Homer were one of the best psychedelic/hard rock bands to come out of Texas. They had their early beginnings as The Outcasts and some members played on The Stoics/Minds Eye 45s reissued on The Children Anthology (GF187). Reissue of ultra-rare 1974 LP by Michigan band KOPPERIELD taken from the original matertapes. Fantastic fast-paced HEAVY PSYCHROCK with PROGRESSIVE overtones. Biting and at times spine-chilling GUITAR riffing. Their sound a mix of early YES and DEEP PURPLE. Beautiful fantasy cover artwork.

Leopold, Perry : Experiment in metaphysics

Repressed! The philadelphia troubadour's ULTRA RARE 1970 album now reissued by GEARFAB on CD in cooperation with the artitst and taken from the original mastertapes. His trippy, spacey and down-to-earth style is very remniscent to Tom Rush, Eric Anderson, Tim Buckley and Phil Ochs. Coming previously unreleased material.

Les Miladys : Les miladys

GEARFAB SPECIAL PRODUCTS present the CD reissue of the debut album by French Canadian 60's girl band. French sung with 'jolly' versions of NANCY SINATRA's 'Sugar Town', a SUPREMES song, SIMON & GARFUNKEL's 'Feeling Groovy', and so on. Typical 60's arrangments and female harmony vocals. Locksley Hall : Locksley hall

This relatively unknown Spokane, WA. psychedelic band recorded this eerie and haunting LP in the Spring of 1969 at the legendary Audio Recorders in Seattle, WA. Produced by Sonics engineer Kearney Barton and long time Northwest guitarist Ned Neltner (Mark Five, Gas Company, Junior Cadillac), the beautiful vocals of Shannon Svenson are very reminiscent of the sounds being produced at that time by It's A Beautiful Day, Jefferson Airplane and Big Brother & The Holding Company. The album remained unissued til' 1996, when US label Or Records decided to release it on vinyl. Now it's available on CD.

Lumbee : Overdose

Like the title suggests, this period piece typifies the habits, moods and practices of youth during the late 60's. Original vinyl copies of this 1970 album came with a board 'DOPE-DEALER' game, complete with play money and detailed instruction that started with the perquisite. "No one who intends to stay straight may play". The music on this album is a HARD-EDGED, FUZZED and SOMEWHAT BLUES INFUSED early '70s ROCK experience.

Magic : Enclosed

'Enclosed' is the first album by this Detroit, USA based band, originally released in 1969. In addition to the 8 original tracks from the 'Eclosed' album, you'll find both songs from UNRELEASED Armadillo 45 as well as both tracks off their first 45 release on 'Monster' + 4 PREVIOUS UNRELEASED tracks from their never before heard 1971 sessions. 17 tracks in all taken from original mastertapes and released in collaboration with the band.

This classic 1971 album amplifies just how loud and talented this Baltimore band was. Merkin : Music from merkin manor

Reissue on CD of the fabulous and ultra-rare USA WEST COAST 60'S PSYCHEDELIC band MERKIN. Taken from the original master tapes and including unreleased material. Released in 1973 on Windy Records (same label as Creation Of Sunlight) but sounding more 1967-68 with fuzzed out/jangly guitars and melodic, floating harmony vocals.

Miller, Pete : Summerland

When not masquarading as blissed-out psychodaisy BIG BOY PETE, producer/performer Pete Miller wrote and recorded a number of wired garage-pop tracks in similar vein to his highly rated 1965 single 'Baby I Got News For You'. 14 Previously UNRELEASED 1966/1967 recordings to confirm that he was one of the most neglected talents of the era. Mourning Dayze : The lost recordings

This Wisconsin band appeared on "Psychedelic states Illinois" with their swirling psychedelic track "Fly my paper plane". Now the band have discovered six other original tracks recorded in the fall of 1967. The music is powerful, loud and reflective of their sound. There's also a previously unreleased alternate version of their single.
