Between 1965-67, Drake Levin made his name as the lead guitarist for Paul Revere & The Raiders during their heyday. Joel Christie played bass as a session player for Lee Michaels. Dale Loyola was the drummer for Hook and many other LA-based bands. In 1972, they formed The Cosmic Travelers and relocated to Oahu, Hawaii. This Ultra-Rare live 1972 recording of them in the extinct crater of Diamond Head in front of 7,000 fans is full of long, crazed fuzzed out guitars, thundering bass, and pounding drum jams. Back on CD after being out of print for many, many years, it's the the ultra-rare 1968 psychedelic masterpiece recorded by Merrell Fankhauser and his Southern California group The Exiles. Back in the day the group cut several singles for the tiny Glenn label before mutating into H.M.S. Bounty. The equally tiny UIP label decided to gather a few of the Glenn singles, add a few more psychedelically oriented tracks, and release the package as the work of a non-exisiting group called Fapardokly. Although the recordings were never intended as a unified work, the LP stands as one of the great lost classics of the '60s. Fankhauser went on to make more excellent recordings with H.M.S. Bounty in the late '60s and Mu in the early '70s.

While you may expect cheesy orchestra music it's actually the rawest, dopest and wildest psychedelic groove one could imagine. Stomping breaks, haunting spooky organ sounds and wet swampy bass lines from the very beginning to the last groove, completed with some strange sci-fi sounds and stereo FX. A CD-reissue of a truly weird and unique album from 1964, featuring a frantic folk-singer, obsessed with monsters, active in California's coffee-house circuit. With his long red hair and matching beard, Robbie was a striking performer with a manic stage presence, acting out his songs as much as singing them. His set consisted of his original songs and uniquely reworked versions of folk standards, played on a beat-up twelve-string guitar. Robbie would later be a co-founder of Clear Light and join The Brain Train in 1967, and his wife Barbara "Sandi" Robinson would become the lead vocalist for The Peanut Butter Conspiracy. The CD features liner notes from the Conspiracy's Alan Brackett and UK collector extraordinaire Gray Newell.

This Milwaukee band is remembered for its 1967 psych 7" "Stop & listen". what is not known about them is their 1969 studio recordings in San Francisco. The band layed down some excellent psychedelic tracks at the time the Grateful Dead were finishing their "Workingman's dead". These recordings have never been released before and their use of the flute was two years ahead of Jethro Tull's popularisation of this instrument.

This album was produced by Al Schmitt, who also produced the Jefferson Airplanes After Bathing At Baxters, Crown Of Creation, Bless Its Pointed Little Head, and Volunteers as well as our own Ivory. This classic1970 album featured fluid guitar and vocal harmonies much in the vein of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young withheavy influences of the Grateful Dead. Seven of the eight compositions were by Michael Woods, who later played with America. The final track "Reno, Nevada", was penned by Richard Farina.
