.../THE HALL OF FLOATERS IN THE SKY' - Over 50 million records sold, tours and festival appearances throughout Europe and Japan, and there are at least 50 cover versions or adaptations of their world hit 'Gyöngyhajú Lány' - Omega are Hungary's number one rock export. To celebrate their 60th anniversary, the original Omega albums from the Bacillus era are being released again: '200 Years After The Last War' was released in 1974 combines various influences from which the Hungarians formed their own style at the time: blues, early Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. 'The Hall Of Floaters In The Sky' from 1975 had a tonal hybrid of Focus, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Sparks and Cockney Rebel.

Reissue in jewelcase. If Omega's successful LP 'Time Robber' as a quality benchmark, 'Gammapolis' from 1978 also effortlessly kept up. The live album 'Live At Kisstadion' recorded in Budapest in 1979 is considered a classic. Since Omega were on tour with the Hobo Blues Band at the time, they had been accompanied by extremely experienced musicians. For 'High On The Starway' Omega got the hobo blues band guitarists József Törös, Egon Póka and János Szénich on stage and started a twelve-minute rock fireworks display.

Omega : Omega & iii
The album 'Omega I', released in 1973, was a compilation of songs from 'Élö' and the album 'Omega 5', which were released in the Eastern Bloc in the same year. After a few excursions into psychedelic rock realms, Omega presented itself again on 'III' at the end of 1974: Nine crisp hard rock numbers, only one exceeded the four-minute mark. In order to appeal to a broader audience in the future, the pieces were stripped down, instrumental solo efforts were limited.
