2014 album. 'The Blackbird Flies' is the second album by the alternative rock band Empty Frame, based in Athens Greece, an album of broad scope, both musically and texturally. Without limiting themselves to a specific musical genre, Empty Frame explore their classic pop sensibilities juxtaposed with a darker progressive side, through the interplay of classical instruments such as piano, violin and cello with the electric combo of guitars, bass and drums, brooding on one song and soothing listeners with the next. Inspirations come from myriad sources, bringing to mind artists as diverse as The Walkabouts, Nick Cave or The Beatles.
