The beating heart of The Death Wheelers is a rumbling engine. Since their self-titled debut in 2015 and in 2020's cinematic-storytelling breakout 'Divine Filth', the Canadian outfit have tapped into wind-through-hair freedom and careened down open roads of groove. Their third record, 'Chaos And The Art Of Motorcycle Madness', more than lives up to its name on all fronts. The band draws from classic underground metal, scummer heavy rock and cast themselves into a cauldron of cultish biker devil worship, reveling in any and all post-apocalyptic dystopias with genuine glee at having just seen the world eat itself. The sound is that of the band pushing itself harder, writing stronger songs and compromising none of their edge or aural passion. Dozer are not only on top of their game, they're well beyond it. Heavy Psych Sounds Records reissues of the first three albums of the Swedish legendary band Dozer: 'In The Tail Of A Comet' (2000, Man's Ruin Records), 'Madre De Dios' (2001) and 'Call It Conspiracy' (2003, both out via Molten Universe). Three masterpieces of the European stoner scene. These three records elevated the scene to a higher level and gave Dozer the scepter of the Scandinavian stoner movement. In the post-Kyuss era, Dozer, along with bands like Los Natas and Acid King, brought a flurry of pure, desert-style monolithic riffs and tons of fuzz guitars. The songwriting on all these three albums was what really distinguished Dozer from the other bands of the early 2000s. The band had a very big influence on the European stoner bands and we can definitely say Dozer are one of the European stoner godfathers. Limited to 250 copies on yellow and blue vinyl.

A trip through a desolate desert landscape, the swampy river delta, home to the band, '70s hardrock and psychedelia. Drive By Wire manages to distill these inspirations into a warm organic sound with the urgency of '90s grunge, the contagious riff-driven groove of Queens Of The Stone Age, and delicious hypnotic heavy-ness such as Black Sabbath. For this record they chose to work with producer Guido Aalbers (QOTSA, The Gathering, Muse, Masters Of Reality) because of his ability to capture and convey the thick, organic sound and exhilarating vigor that the band's live performances are so well known for. Recorded in Philadelphia at Retro City Studios with Joe Boldizar and mixed/mastered by Tim Green (Earthless, The Melvins) at Louder Studios in Grass Valley, CA, Ecstatic Vision's recent fuzzed-out sound has been sculpted it into a HI/FI psychedelic wonderland. This album is the closest the band has gotten to achieving the energy of their untouchable live shows on tape. EV took a simpler approach on the art this time, using the Spanish dream-team of Edko Fuzz and Bangalore Studios. 'For The Masses' blends tripped-out synth, semi-catatonic desert driving tunes, Afro-tribal Funkadelic vibes, troglodyte-Detroit rock grooves, acid freak-outs, ethereal psychedelic hymns and mind-altering krautrock into Ecstatic Vision's outsider take on modern music. It's like if Tangerine Dream jammed with Lemmy and the Asheton Brothers and decided to play some world music and free jazz in 1971.
