The legend continues. The pioneer cult band Esplendor Geométrico offers us their 2024 album, 'Strepitus Rhythmicus,' of machine-like and futuristic post-industrial music. Electric pulses of mechanical rhythms, hidden voices, and factory noises. E.G. reinvent themselves again and again without losing their unique essence. Based now in Islamabad and Rome, Arturo Lanz and Saverio Evangelista have not stopped their live performances all over the world in the last years with great success. The CD version includes 11 tracks.

Esplendor Geometrico : Pulsion + (2lp)

The Esplendor Geométrico style continues having a unique and unmistakable mark that distinguishes them from later bands they have had influence onto. At first sight, 'Pulsión' is pure industrial hypnosis based on the electronic manipulation of sounds together with irresistible rhythms, repetitive, machine-like, industrial, hypnotic, sometimes tribal, sometimes danceable, that mix up with voices and chants. Some of them are taken from traditional Arab and oriental music (Mongolia, China, Tibet...) to be later electronically manipulated, others are simply speech fragments, as the one of a leader of a radical political party in Japan, Che Guevara, or an anti-occidental harangue from an islamist leader. But the idea of EG is not to transmit any political or ideological message, the sources have been chosen for their strength and sonority.Remastered in 2023. Limited to 600 numbered copies. Esplendor Geometrico : Compuesto de hierro + (2lp)

Esplendor Geométrico, the influential industrial pioneers of the pulsating, hypnotic and mechanical rhythms, present the extended version of their album 'Compuesto De Hierro' to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release. Recorded in Beijing in 2002 and out of print for over 15 years, 'Compuesto De Hierro' was originally released only on CD and now for the first time on double vinyl including on side D four new and unreleased tracks recorded in 2022, inspired by the music on the album. Now remastered for vinyl, the sleeve design is based on the original cover. 'Compuesto De Hierro' is the most perfect example of the industrial-tribal sound of Esplendor Geométrico, developed over more than two decades, reminding us at times of their most "ethnic" album 'Mekano-Turbo.' The hypnotic and elaborate rhythms are masterfully combined with teatred vocals, electronic analogue sounds, and sonorities from the Far East, especially from China. 'Compuesto De Hierro' represents a unique viewpoint in the fusion of traditional or ethnic music with classical industrial music. Limited and numbered edition of 600 copies.

'Selected Tracks 2' is a gatefold 2LP with another selection of tracks recorded by Esplendor Geométrico recorded between 1995 and 1998. The first volume was published in 2015 as a 4LP boxset. Ten of the thirteen tracks appear for the first time on vinyl. The package also features some rarities, released on very limited CD-Rs only.

Emerging out of Amsterdam's vibrant squat scene in 1979, The Ex - a name chosen for the ease and speed with which it could be spray-painted onto a wall - have for four decades been an entirely self-sustaining musical entity, charting a course through the global underground with a spirit of freedom and radical exploration. On 1985's 'Pokkeherrie' (Dutch for "terrible noise"), The Ex return to the more stripped-down instrumentation on their early LPs. A key lineup change would also see the arrival of drummer Kat Bornefeld (whose supple rhythms propel the group to this day). Recorded at the new location of Koeienverhuur Studio in the basement of storied squat/venue Emma, 'Pokkeherrie' is a testament to the angular momentum of a group in full creative flux. Right from the opening track, bassist Luc Klaasen generates a relentless pulse. Terrie Ex's sparse/acidic guitar and G.W. Sok's impassioned vocals combine in a vein similar to The Minutemen, Flipper or Rudimentary Peni, except The Ex have the patience and wherewithal to sustain their approach beyond just brief explosions. Perhaps only The Fall from this period can match The Ex's ability to hold a melody together while utilizing otherwise harsh sonic elements over an extended piece, most effectively on 'Soviet Threat,' '1,000,000 Ashtrays' and 'White Liberals.' Comes with 17" x 24" poster and 20-page booklet.
