At the same time it’s very raw, but without being utterly harsh. It can be seen as a sum of the artist's previous projects Zoät-Aon, Secret Apex and Vanhala, but it still presents something new.

The Australian outfit did surprise with his outstanding atmospheric droned textured power electronics. 'Concealing The Past', Pterygium's first CD and second full length album compiles a assemblage of studio recordings from 2017 and 2018. From jarring analogue live sessions to melancholic, nonchalant atmospheres, each piece disconnects from the next, self containing singularity ideas that present as individual representations of every day chaos and detachment.

Ratkje, Maja S. K. : Sult

Sult is based upon Ratkje´s music created for the ballet Sult ("Hunger") by director Jo Strømgren for the Norwegian National Ballet. This is a departure from the records and live settings normally associated with Ratkje, as we find her placed behind a modified, wiggly and out-of-tune pump organ, singing songs and improvising. Metal tubes, PVC tubes and a wind machine were built into the organ; guitar strings, a bass string, a resin thread, metal and glass percussion and a bow are also utilized.

Some albums are catchy, some are bulky, some immediately stick to you, others touch you. 'Death Trance' is far off these categories. It contains an aggressive world of sound, composed of menacingly clattering frequencies merged with low, massive tones and their ritualistic dimensions into a rustling, shrill, mangling mix of terror noise and power electronics. A pulsating, rhythm-based, and occult beginning with woven-in murmured and asphyxiated conjurations rises up, then changes to an unnerving, screaming rag of sound, only to be finalized by a rite of nonterminating deepness, that is accompanied by whispering and tortured screams. This album is blackness incarnate. Since 2005 RxAxPxE is the epitome of occult, ominous, sepulchral works sprung from a distinctively sinister mind aloof any modern hypes and trends. No attention-whoring, no networking. Only one thing: Glorification of the Dark One through the most disturbing, sick sounds directly originating from the depths of the human soul. Serrato, Marco : Seis canciones para cuervo

Marco Serrato is known for his projects Orthodox, Jacob and Hidden Forces Trio. A restless and eclectic musician in whose gallery of heroes we would find Quorthon or Glenn Danzig, also sharing place with Messiaen or Mingus. Experienced in the metal scene, he did not hesitate it in starting his late studies in classical music, combining them with many kind of projects. His varied career has taken him to do collaborations with different sorts of musicians, from flamenco dancer Israel Galván or musician and writer Julian Cope, to saxophonist Ricardo Tejero. Not to mention sporadic collaborations with bands like Ursula, Zinvmm and Tentudía. His broad discography is shared out amongst labels like Southern Lord, Utech Records, Bruce's Fingers and Knockturne Records. In 2013 Taauru (Knockturne Records) was his solo debut, a cassette tape that includes home-made improvs where Marco gave free rein to influences from musicians like Keiji Haino, Derek Bailey and Mats Gustafsson.Now he appears with his first album, 'Seis Canciones Para Cuervo'. In 'Seis Canciones Para Cuervo', Serrato deals with an unclassifiable, hermetic and personal work inspired by poet Ted Hughes words and recent personal experiences, the double bass being the undisputed focus. Six acoustic compositions that take us to a dismal journey that is not without some black humour. Recorded by Raúl Pérez at La Mina studios (Pylar, Viento Smith, Ursula, Pony Bravo...).
