The fifth proper studio album by the legendary UK hardcore band was originally released on CD only in 2002, and here it's reissued on vinyl. The self-titled album marked the return of the classic line-up of Cal, Bones, Tezz and Rainy Wainwright. It would end up being the final Discharge album with original singer Cal Morris.

Formed in the northern industrial town of Stoke-on-Trent in 1977, Discharge changed punk with its distinctive brand of hardcore, making minimalist music with distorted guitar, drone-like bass, shouted anarchist themes and propulsive drumming, known as D-Beat. Originally issued in 1987, this killer compilation charts the best of their early years with Clay Records, from the full-on assault of 'Realities Of War,' passing the chart-topping 'Why?,' to the shrieking sounds of 'Grave New World,' which edged further into metal territory. Listen and be awed by the power and the glory of one of the most influential punk and metal bands ever.

Away from the grandeur, and although their line-up history is full of potholes - the key to unlock this classic release by Extreme Noise Terror, 'A Holocaust In Your Head' is the double-edged vocal prongs from ENT founders Phil Vane and Dean Jones and the black-avalanche guitars of Steve Hurley (not forgetting the drum stool occupied by Mick Harris, soon to be of Scorn during the recording of this album, and Doom's Tony "Stick" Dickens). 'Statement' is as good as any opening gambit for a band - a trail of sludge setting fire to itself consuming the raw, political ashtray mantras spewed into its thick, corrosive grip. 'Another Nail In The Coffin' suitably devastating the senses as a wrecking ball swings from its chain into the side of a condemned building, brick by brick. Eaten. Buried. Poster included.

Psychedelic pop act Jawbone had ample talent and keen industry connections yet remained unjustly obscure. Core members had been active in The Mirage, who signed with CBS and later recorded for Philips; drummer David Hynes and bassist/future Elton John Band mainstay Dee Murray briefly joined the Spencer Davis Group, but regrouped as Portobello Explosion, which became Jawbone. Their rare self-titled debut, released by Carnaby in 1970, had an undercurrent of Americana, and there's a one-off cover of The Beatles' 'Across The Universe;' this edition features bonus track 'Way, Way Down,' a non-LP Carnaby 45.

Originally released in 2001, 'Interviews With David Frost' is the debut album from Washington, DC punk/hardcore band Majority Rule. The album is seven songs in length and encapsulates a truly unique blend of speed, heaviness, tone, and precision not often mastered by practitioners of the loose genres (screamo, punk, hardcore) that the band operated within during their run. Simply put, the band was light years ahead of its time and it would be at least another decade before bands like Deafhaven and Liturgy would figure it all out sonically, package and polish for modern times, and bring it to the masses for maximum consumption and marketability.
