In 1967 guitarist and songwriter John Renbourn founded the British folk rock band Pentangle together with Bert Jansch. Like Jansch, Renbourn was also regarded as an outstanding representative of the British 'folk baroque' and fingerpicking playing technique. This CD contains recordings by Radio Bremen from the year 1978 where the band performed at the Bremer Römer.

Duke Robillard was one of the founders of Roomful Of Blues in the early 1970's and replaced Jimmy Vaughan with the Fabulous Thunderbirds in the 1990's. He was a sideman of Robert Gordon and Bob Dylan, a core member of the New Guitar Summit with Jay Geils, Gerry Beaudoin and Randy Bachmann, among others. In 1985 Duke Robillard performed in Bremen for the first time, back then with the Pleasure Kings. He gave his second concert 23 years later, this time with the Duke Robillard Band. 'Live In Bremen 1985/2008' has liner notes written by Trevor Hodgett.

The history of the successful Scottish band Runrig lasted from 1973 to 2018. The band plays rock music with strong Scottish influences, and they wrote historical Scottish lyrics and composed songs in Gaelic. Runrig were guests at the Rockpalast of the WDR three times in their career. Two of these concerts are now coming in a CD/DVD box set: on February 3, 1996 they were guests in the Düsseldorf Philippshalle, on December 15, 2001 in the Palladium in Cologne. A unique document from the history of the band, because here the band shows up again with their two front men, in 1996 with Donnie Munro, in 2001 with his successor Bruce Guthro.
