Rocé is known for his refined songwriting and is also appreciated for his surprising projects. After 4 French rap albums between 2002 and 2013, in 2018 he compiled a collection of politically committed songs from the '70s in French, 'Par Les Damné.e.s De La Terre # Voix De Lutte 1969-1988,' sung by artists involved in workers' struggle and decolonization. From July 2020, Rocé will fill seven years of absence from the rap scene with tracks that he spontaneously releases on platforms. He presented his 'Poings Serrés' EP in June 2021, and has now finally released 'Bitume.' 'Bitume' is a sincere and raw project, with tracks that speak about the battles that need to be fought and that unmistakably insist on hope, tracks with fists raised. The album features contributions from Ol Kainry, Daddy Mory and actor Slimane Dazi.

In 2014, a 24-year-old Australian arrives in Paris, accompanying a punk band on a European tour. He decides not to go home. Since then, everyone knows Nathan Roche, most notably as thhe lead singer of Le Villejuif Underground. 'A Break Away', his solo album, is a journey disc in the form of a breakaway from the band. In eleven songs, his naturalistic writing, which can evoke Jonathan Richman, is combined with an encyclopedic knowledge of rock music, forged while he was a record store in Australia.
