Hailed from Northern Ireland, Eire Apparent's only album is famous for having Jimi Hendrix as a producer. This Irish band unfortunately, didn't continue after releasing their first and only album, but overall the album is a very nice psychedelic and garage rock of the late '60s. Originally released in 1969.

Singer, actor and musician Farid El Atrache, born on October 19, 1910 in Soueïda, Syria, and died on December 26, 1974 in Beirut, Lebanon, is considered the greatest singer of the Arab world. A virtuoso of the oud, his timeless work, rich in hundreds of compositions, is recognized the world over. The present selection is devoted to the master's early works recorded in the 1930s-1940s.

El Shaeri, Hamid : The slam! years (1983-1988)

"If you were to ask us for a defining Habibi Funk track, there are a few that come to mind: from Fadoul's 'Sid Redad,' Dalton's 'Soul Brother' to Ahmed Malek's 'Omar Gatlato.' However, none are as widely connected with us at this point as Hamid Al Shaeri's 'Ayonha.' We heard the track for the first time when we were working on selecting tracks for our first compilation and we instantly loved it. We obviously had heard of Hamid El Shaeri's music before, but only material from his Al Jeel phase when he was already the full-blown superstar he is now. Listening to his releases from the early 1980's opened a whole new door for us. At the time, Hamid had just left Libya to pursue his career in Egypt via a detour in London, where he recorded his first album. Hamid's distinct sound of the sound is quintessentially reliant on heavy synths and so it was particularly important to purchase these synths in a timely manner. "Whenever a new one [synthesizer] would come out, we would have to buy it immediately, otherwise someone else would get their hands on that sound." London also played an important role for Hamid as a musical epicenter. He fondly reminisces about the many live shows he attended there, including some of the biggest international musicians like Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. After returning to Cairo where he also recorded his following albums, he connected with SLAM! for the release of his debut, laying the foundation of a collaboration that lasted for 5 albums. This release is dedicated to Hany Sabet, the founder of SLAM! and his wife Rosemary Jane Sabet (who took the photos we used for the cover and the booklet), who sadly passed away during the time it took us to prepare the release." ~Habibi Funk

Electric Dragon is a darksynth project by Ian Mullinger, former rhythm guitarist with famed death/doom metal band Vallenfyre. Tito and The Brainsuckers were one of the most deranged garage-r'n'r acts in Italy in the past decade, playing a lot live also with Leighton Koizumi of The Morlocks/Gravedigger V band for a while. Today Tito's ELECTRIC FLASHBACKS release sort of a compilation of 60s garage/beat "obscure-classics" that have accompanied his evolution. Not just covers but very personal and classy versions to match. A must!

Electric Moon Meets Talea Jacta : Sabotar

A real neo-krautrock album with all the typical ingredients, such as long tracks, guitar freakouts, totally kosmik effect orgies, double drumming and out of this world atmospheres. Both bands met for a concert together as one band at 20th of September 2019 in the cult club Sabotage in Portugal's capitol city Lisbon. Sadly the Sabotage has not survived the corona lockdown. Electric Moon is Germany's beloved psychedelic rockband, who played all over Europe and released so many albums. Talea Jacta is one of Portugal's best kept secrets. The duo of Joao Pais Filipe on drums and percussions, and Pedro Pestana, the guitar wizard of 10.000 Russos, on guitar, is just breathtaking! They both are well known musicians and are touring around the globe! Joao is also very famous for handcrafting gongs and percussions of stunning beauty! The combination with their friends Electric Moon makes this release (and of course their concerts together) a very unique thing! This is real psychedelic underground!
