The version of Zone Six's debut-album without vocals, which sofar was never properly released (only on a few self-releasedtapes in 1997), is now reissued by Sulatron Records for theband's 20th anniversary. On offer is a wild mixture ofpsychedelic rock, electronica and dub, so it's no wonder thatthose tapes, back in the day, received positive reviews fromthe few music critics lucky enough to get a copy.

Zone Six : Full mental jacket
Zone Six was founded in August 1997, when Dave (also known as Sula Bassana) got a concert request for Liquid Visions, but this band was not able to play the show. So Dave had the idea to form a new band just for this: Zone Six. The idea behind was to play long tranceful space- and acid-rock improvisations. Now, 26 years later, this project is still existing and has a new, dark and powerful album out. The basics were recorded within the first three days of March 2022, influenced/affected by the news of the just started Russian war on Ukraine. It took more than a year to do some overdubs and produce the whole album out of these jams/composings (in a few days/weekends). In the track 'Slingshot,' which covers the whole A-side of the LP, you can hear some ghostly guitar sounds from the older Zone Six guitar player Rainer Neeff and some soprano sax by saxophone legend Gottfried Klier, who already played in the '70s in the band Engerling among many others and is now living around the corner from Dave. The playing time of the tracks is interesting too, leading to a interesting year in history and art: 1954. But that is only a funny sidenote. The CD comes in 4 page digifile, limited to 300 copies!

Last copies! Zone Six was founded in August 1997, when Dave (also known as Sula Bassana) got a concert request for Liquid Visions; but for this band it was not able to play the show. So Dave had the idea to form a new band just for this: Zone Six. The idea behind was to play long tranceful spacerock improvisations. Dave formed the band out of Hans-Peter (guitar player of Liquid Visions) on guitar, Claus (who was playing the drums in Liquid Visions shortly before) on drums and himself on bass and synthesizer. Two weeks before this first gig the debut album was recorded. And around 4 months later a second, but never released album. Two of the tracks from these recordings became this 10" vinyl, which will be out now after 25 years and also in the band's 25th anniversary. At that time the keyboarder Rusty was already on board as well as the Australian singer Jodi Barry, who left some months later. You can hear a slight trip hop influence in these experimental improvisations, which marks it as a special release for Zone Six. These songs were so far only available on the CD '10 Years Of Aural Psychedelic Journeys' from 2007. Mastered by Eroc. The frontcover was made by the Indonesian painter Ibayarifin, which reflects the mood of the music perfectly. Zone Six : Live spring
This album contains the best of live recordings from Spring 2017 with two tracks recorded live in Heidelberg at Kosmodrom in Exil by Tom of Buddha Sentenza mixed by Sula Bassana and one track recorded live at La Zone in Liège by Sula Bassana. The track on side 1, 'Touch Down Heidi' is a great mix of slowtempo and mind-blowing rocking parts with a total time of 26 minutes, spacy guitars with delay effects and reminiscences to Pink Floyd ('Echoes'). Limited to 500 copies on black vinyl.
