Karaca, Cem : Nem kaldi?
Cem Karaca announces his intent to slay all enemies ofIstanbul's leftist counter culture with stompin' progkeyboards. Sophisticated and passionate, with flamboyant tastein sunglasses, Cem Karaca led Istanbul's music fans through aperiod of violent political turmoil. Karaca reworkedtraditional folk lyrics with molten electric bass lines thatplayed up both a poets broiling righteousness and also hislisteners common ground with their elders in Turkey's history.1975's 'Nem Kaldi?' gathers more '60s-'70s singles that leadthe listener through Karaca's own musical history, skipping across various collaborations. Sink deeper into the intrigueboth musical and otherwise as fractious personnel changes andreal-life assassins multiply, yet the double-time drums andbadass synthesizer schwings pound on.

Karaca, Cem : Laila's dream
Türküola proudly presents this Cem Karaca album of which 5 songs are presented here for the first time. All are directly from the original masters of Türküola. These tracks were recorded with the Ferdy Klein Orchestra in 1970. The Turkish versions of these songs were previously released, but these English ones were in the treasure box until now! The 4 other tracks on this album were released in 1968 as two separate singles, and 3 instrumental songs were previously released on the album of The Bosporus Sound Orchestra, called 'Laila's Dream', which was released by United Artists, Liberty, and Türkofon before. The Bosporus Sound Orchestra was, of course, Ferdy Klein's pseudonym for his orchestra. Limited, so order fast!.
