Kappaleet
This previously unreleased 1971 album gets it’s first ever release on vinyl, via Rise Above Relics. Cult Band Bang recorded Death of a Country for Capitol Records, which was immediately rejected, considered to be sounding too underground and not commercial enough. Regarded by many as being “America’s answer to early Black Sabbath”, Death of a Country, displays a darker psychedelic mood than the more straightforward proto-metal /hard rock that was to follow. Dark, trippy lyrics and studio effects owe more to early Pink Floyd than Black Sabbath on this particular release. Comes housed in original album artwork with gatefold sleeve and lyric insert. Limited pressing on coloured 180gm vinyl.
Side 1
1. Death of a Country (10.07)
2. No Trespassing (5.10)
Side 2
3. My Window (4.46)
4. Life on Ending (4.18)
5. Certainly Meaningless (3.32)
6.Future Song (3.59)
